Versafit polyolefin shrink tubing is highly flame retardant, very flexible, and has a low shrink temperature. It is a cost effective choice for commercial and military applications with good electrical insulation and strain relief. Easily hot stamped for identification. Each kit contains the following (6 inch pieces): 35 3/32 inch pieces, 28 1/8 inch pieces, 2:1 3/16 inch pieces, 2:1 1/4 inch pieces, 14 3/8 inch pieces and 14 1/2 inch pieces. These are split equally among the following colors: Black, Red, White, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Clear.

This PTFE Heat Shrink 2:1 Tubing has a shrink range of 650 F +/- 25 F (343 C +/-10 C). PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) goes into the gel state (amorphous to crystalline) at approximately 625 F (330 C). PTFE begins to shrink at 650 F (343 C). The mandrel or part to be covered by the Heat shrink tubing must be able to withstand this temperature range. Color: Clear.

Aluminum 6061 is one of the most widely used alloys in the 6000 series. This standard structural alloy, one of the most versatile of the heat-treatable alloys, is popular for medium to high strength requirements and has good toughness characteristics. Alloy 6061 has excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions and good corrosion resistance to seawater. This alloy also offers good finishing characteristics and responds well to anodizing; however, where cosmetic appearance is critical, consider the use of alloy 6063. For screw machine applications, alloy 6061 has adequate machinability characteristics in the heat-treated -T6/-T6511 condition. Chips from machining (particularly turning and drilling) can be difficult to break in the -T6/-T6511 temper condition. Chip breakers are recommended, and special machining techniques (i.e. peck drilling) can improve chip formation.

This heat shrinkable FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene) Tubing will shrink rapidly over inserted objects upon exposure to moderate heat. Soldered joints, parts, components and fittings of plastic, metal or wood that could not previously be protected because of the high temperature required for shrinkage can now have a transparent surface of Teflon with a continuous service temperature of 400 F (204 C). Shrinkage will occur completely at exposure to 350 F (177 C) with partial shrinkage beginning as low as 200 F (93 C). Suggested for connecting metal, glass or plastic tubes of similar or dissimilar diameters in low pressure applications. FEPs chemical resistance and dielectric properties are equal to PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene).
